About Us

JSC GAMERS exists for one simple reason: to bring people together over games.

Our purpose

We organize regular gatherings where members can enjoy a variety of games together — board games, card games, video games, tabletop RPGs, virtual tabletop sessions, and model kit & LEGO builds. If it's a game, there's likely a place for it at JSC GAMERS.

Who can join

Membership is open to NASA JSC civil servants, contractors, retirees, and the surrounding community — you don't need to already have a gaming group or years of experience to feel at home here. All members must be 18 or older. As a NASA Exchange–JSC Starport club, at least half of our membership is made up of NASA JSC–affiliated members, with the rest drawn from the surrounding community, friends, and family.

How we're organized

JSC GAMERS is run by elected officers and supported by advisors (see our Officers page). Because our members' interests span so many kinds of games, we also organize into focused splinter groups — each with its own lead — so there's always a specific group to plug into, whether that's tabletop RPGs, video games, virtual tabletop, or model kits and LEGO.

What to expect at a meeting

Regular meetings happen at least once a month at the Gilruth Center. Bring a game, learn a new one, or just come hang out — our Code of Conduct is short, and it boils down to: be respectful, play fair, and help make the space welcoming for everyone.

JSC GAMERS operates under a governing Constitution filed with Starport. This site summarizes what's most useful for members day-to-day — the full Constitution and Code of Conduct are available on the Code of Conduct page.
